Substance Training with Hindu Squats
I found a way of working with hindu squats which I found to be interesting, it’s known as Substance Training. The idea of substance training is to be able to accomplish more work in less time. What you’re supposed to do is time how long you are able to do a certain workout, gradually lower the total number of sets while increasing the number of reps per set while lowering the rest between each set so that you are able to do the same volume you did in the first workout in a shorter time in your last workout.
Eventually you cut down the number of sets and increase the reps per set, eventually arriving at 1 set for max reps.
This is the ultimate goal of hindu squats, to perform a single set for an absolute maximum number of reps.
