300 - The Workout

Hello fellow hindu squats fans….

You guys (and girls) have no doubt heard or even seen the movie 300?

The video below is the type of conditioning the actors did as preparation for the movie.  These workouts spurned the concept of the 300 workout.

The basic idea is to do a series of exercises with total reps coming to 300.  There are no hard and fast rules about what you should do, but the preference is to keep the reps high to create a strength/endurance workout.  Much like hindu squats.

It was the Gym Jones group that trained the actors and they have a great attitude to exercise and fitness.  They are all about real-world, functional fitness.  Just the message that I want to convey.

Here’s the deal of what they did:

“300”
25x Pull-up +
50x Deadlift @ 135# +
50x Push-up +
50x Box Jump @ 24” box +
50x Floor Wiper @ 135# (one-count) +
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36# (KB must touch floor between reps) +
25x Pull-up
300 reps total

Think about this concept.  Can you bring this into your own program?

Have you reached 300 hindu squats yet?  There are so many possibilities…
